Tableau-vivant photography

“Pictorial narrative is concentrated into a simple image; a stand-alone picture” (Cotton, 2014).


Tableau vivant: living picture) uses models to pose in a landscape which only emphasises the social impact on the environment.Contemporary photography now consists of a series of landscapes where as before we narrated a picture using one stand alone image that "lives".
